Privacy policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

In short: this site uses no cookies and no tracking tools. I only process the data needed to run it and to reply when you get in touch.

Data controller

The controller is Damiano Ciucci, freelance developer, Italian VAT no. 18141051005.

For questions about this policy or your data, write to me: I reply personally.

What data I process

  • Browsing data. When you visit the site, the server hosting it automatically logs some technical data: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system. I don't use it to identify or profile you.
  • Data you send me. If you email or call me, I process what you share (name, email, phone number, message content) to reply to you.

Why, and on what legal basis

  • Running the site and protecting it from abuse: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Replying to your requests and preparing a quote: pre-contractual steps you ask for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • If we work together, invoicing and accounting: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Cookies and tracking

The site uses no cookies, neither technical nor profiling, and no analytics or tracking tools. That's why there is no cookie banner.

Fonts and images are served by the site itself, with no calls to external services. Links to GitHub and LinkedIn lead to third-party sites, which have their own policies.

Who processes data on my behalf

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which processes browsing data as a data processor. Vercel is based in the United States: the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Emails go through my email provider. I don't sell or share your data with anyone.

How long I keep it

  • Browsing data: for the hosting provider's log retention period, usually a few days.
  • Emails and messages: for as long as needed to handle the request. If you become a client, 10 years, as required by Italian tax law.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, or receive it in a portable format (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). I reply within one month.

If you think the processing breaches the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Changes

If anything changes, for example if I add analytics, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
